In a suburb of Chicago, located on Lake Michigan with accessibility to a beach and in a town that has sprawling estates and beautiful homes, with a town that offers everything you could want and more, you arrive at Lake Forest College, a small liberal arts school that welcomes you with open arms and in an area that exemplifies safety. What a wonderful find and one that should definitely be considered by students from all over the country.

• Families in Lake Forest volunteer to host 3 students for dinner several times during the fall
• Airport is a 30-40 minute Uber drive
• Town is within walking distance from campus
• Very nice, upscale and quaint town
• Town has everything anyone would need, reminds me of Greenwich CT
• Loop Program – Can live in the city for a semester – Have Housing

• Have a men’s and women’s hockey team with an ice rink on campus

• Distribution requirement, taking courses in the 5 different disciplines, and writing and speaking intensive courses as well as a technology course and cultural diversity
• Have an experiential learning requirement, that can be fulfilled with an internship or study abroad experience

• Assigned a freshman advisor, in contact with them summer prior to entering into freshman year. If a first year student’s demeanor changes, their advisor is on it, if they miss 2 classes their advisor is on it
