This is the million-dollar question, yes? You want that investment in your child’s college education to pay off, have them not only be employed after graduation but have the ability to be self-supporting and continue to grow their career potential.
There is new government data that shows which college degrees are instantly paying off and which one leaves graduates weighed down with debt and little income.
Read the attached Wall Street Journal article, which is fascinating, but keep in mind this interactive graph only compares the incomes, by degree and by college, at the first year after graduation. There is a lot more to someone’s earning potential than just one year out, but this does provide a baseline.
