As you approach Keene State College, and drive less than a quarter mile down the road you find the downtown which has plenty of local restaurants and shops. Perfect size, not too small and not too large. It is quintessential New England but not remote or tiny, as some other NH towns are. Plenty going on and the college has a down to earth, homey feel.
