Financial Aid: Should you complete the FAFSA even if you know that you won’t qualify for any financial aid?

Financial Aid: Should you complete the FAFSA even if you know that you won’t qualify for any financial aid?

I strongly suggest to all of my clients that they at least complete the FAFSA in case they may want their child to take out the Federal Direct Student Loan, the parent may take out a Parent PLUS loan and/or their child receives merit aid and the school selected to attend requires that they have a FAFSA on file in order to receive this merit aid. Since the FAFSA is now available as of October 1, there is no time like the present to make this happen. Don’t ever put off until tomorrow what you can do today.
