A recent visit to the University Miami, revealed a warm (literally and figuratively) campus. Situated just outside of Miami in the suburb of Coral Gables, the U is ideal for students who seek strong academics in a social, sun-filled setting. The campus is dotted with outside study spaces offering some shade from the Florida heat, a student run campus sports bar aka the Rathskellar and their own version of a campus green. Perhaps best known for marine sciences and music, the University of Miami is home to 100s of majors within its 9 different colleges.

• Easy to double major and minor
• Strongest/Popular majors include music, marine sciences, business, sports management, and nursing
• Communications is also strong with more internships available than students
• Offers study abroad through 18 partnerships or students can work with the study abroad office to find a location not currently offered

STUDENT BODY
• Favorite traditions include students sitting lakeside to watch fireworks, an exploding boat, and homecoming

• Thursdays offer outdoor concerts near the campus pool
• Weekend life is busy from on-campus events to trips to Miami, the beach and more. Sports fans are bussed to home football and basketball games that are held off campus as well as MIami professional team events
